Luana Vergari was born in Italy in 1976. She graduated from the Fumetti art school in Rome and also studied bio-energy at the school of somatic psychology in Rome. An inquisitive writer, she's penned cartoons, comics and YA books that have been published in several countries. She's a tad dyslexic and extremely passionate about languages and cultures around the world. Her children's book Cat Tongues won the European Language Label in 2014. She's been living in Lille for the past several years, where in 2017 she founded the Radiolem workshop, an organization centered on comics for children and new media, that provides a space for research, artistic creation, and games.
